Just 40 from the Chalets de Montréjeau, located in the municipalities of Sarracolin and Nistos, the Nistos resort calls itself “Le Domaine des Dieux” (The Realm of the Gods). Offering cross-country skiing on trails named after figures from mountain mythology—from the blue “Cybèle,” Mother of the Gods, to “Fagus,” God of the beech tree who reigns supreme over the resort’s black run—Nistos provides unique panoramic views.

From its altitude of 1,800 meters, you can gaze out toward the Pic du Midi, the peaks bordering the Luchonnais region, or even the Four Valleys.
